5.3.4.3 VMXSPP Usage Considerations
The VMXSPP File contains data reported at the processor
level. Due to the way that the data is created by VM/ESA,
the duration for each record contributing to an observation
is maintained in the file as SPPxxxTM (where xxx represents
the domain/record). These durations may differ from one
another. They are used in calculations instead of the
DURATION element to provide greater accuracy. (The ENDTS
element is the highest timestamp in all the records
contributing to the observation. DURATION is the difference
between the ENDTS value in two consecutive observations.)
The VMXSPP file contains one observation per CPU in the
processor complex per interval. To see information for the
entire complex observations must be summed based on VMCINTTS.
