5.3.3.3 VMXSGP Usage Considerations

This file contains information from data reported at the
system level, configuration data, and information summarized
from the processor level. Special considerations or
techniques related to using the VMXSGP file are provided
below:

o The VMXSGP file is constructed primarily from SYSTEM
domain and STORAGE domain data, however the elements
SGPESWSS (Sum of the Estimated Working Set Sizes of In
Queue Users), SGPACTIV and SGPACTVV (Users Active in Total
Time and Virtual Time) are derived from the VMXVXU file.
If all virtual machines are not monitored in the USER
domain, these elements will not contain accurate data.
This will affect other elements in the VMXSGP file that
are calculated using any of the above-named elements.

o The VMXSGP file contains data that is summed for all
processors in the complex. This information comes from
the VMXSPP file. The VMXSGP data element pertaining to
CPU use are derived from the VMXSPP file. A separate
element named SGP002TM is kept on the file that represents
the duration over which these CPU times are accumulated.
This is done so that the real sum of elapsed time over all
processors is available rather than an approximation based
   on the DURATION element.
