7. PARAMETERS


This chapter describes how to define the parameters required
to install the CA MICS Web Analyzer.  Use this chapter as a
detailed reference in conjunction with the PIOM.

Defining CA MICS parameters requires an understanding of your
site requirements and the ability to translate that
understanding into the appropriate CA MICS parameters.  You
must do the following:

o  Arrive at a number of policy decisions.
o  Fill out several worksheets.
o  Translate the worksheet entries into the corresponding
   CA MICS parameter library member entries.

These activities represent the major portion of the product
installation process.  While worksheets are provided, they
are optional; it is mandatory however to ensure that product
parameters are coded.

This chapter focuses on considerations that are unique to the
CA MICS Web Analyzer.  Chapters 2 and 3 of the PIOM document
the mechanics of the CA MICS installation process and include
checklists that describe each installation step.
