5.2.28 The Physical Hardware (HARPHY) File

The Physical Hardware file is used to store the physical
hardware, both CPCs and devices, found.  In addition, logical
device groups are stored, identified by SYSID, Device Class,
and Device Type, when the physical device associated with the
logical device cannot be identified.
 
The information in the HARPHY file is obtained from the
HARIPU and HARDVA files.
