Changing the Resource Files

To change the resource files, follow these steps:

  1. Use the following command to copy the resource file to your DECwindows defaults directory: 
    $ COPY DECW$SYSTEM_DEFAULTS:SCHEDULER$MOTIF.DAT -

    _$ DECW$USERDEFAULTS:*.*

    By default, the logical DECW$USER_DEFAULTS points to SYS$LOGIN.

  2. Open and edit the SCHEDULER$MOTIF.DAT file to modify Job Management Manager resources. The file SCHEDULER$MOTIF.DAT has comments describing different parameters that you can change.
  3. Test the changes by restarting the DECwindows Motif interface. Repeat this step until the results match what you want.
