You can assign a Job Management Manager job to a specific group or type. This feature lets you perform job actions on an entire job group or type, using a single Job Management Manager command. You can create or delete groups and types using the DCL interface only.
A group name or type name is a text string of up to 40 characters. For example, you might use DAILY, WEEKLY, or MONTHLY as a group name. You might use PROGRAM, DOCUMENTATION, BACKUP, or PROJECT-COSTS as a type name.
Examples
SCHEDULE> MODIFY job-name/NEW_GROUP=BACKUP
SCHEDULE> MODIFY jobname/NONEW_GROUP
SCHEDULE> SHOW JOB A*/GROUP=WEEKLY
SCHEDULE> SHOW JOB */TYPE=BACKUP/ALL
SCHEDULE> SHOW JOB *=DOE/GROUP=WEEKLY*/TYPE=BACKUP*
