How Job Management Manager Works › Job States

Job States

Job Management Manager jobs are always in one of six system-assigned states:

• Scheduled
• On hold
• Job slot wait
• Dependency wait
• Running
• Queued

You can request the manager to change the state of a job by using one of the following commands:

• Abort
• Delete
• Hold
• Release
• Run

These commands set a requested state in the Job Management Manager database. The manager grants a request when it processes the related job’s database record.
