A Job Management Manager job is represented in the database by a job record. You create most of the job database information when you create, copy, or modify job characteristics, such as:
The primary part of a job record is a Job Management Manager command, which is any valid system-level command you want to perform. To enter a command, you use the standard command format for the operating system that the command executes on. In the DCL interface, use quotes to enclose a case-sensitive command.
Any user can create a job record or copy a record to the Job Management Manager job database.
Note: The default location for files referenced in a Job Management Manager command is your SYS$LOGIN device and directory. You can specify a different device and directory as part of your file specification.
