32-bit and 64-Bit Application Servers

CA Identity Manager r12.5 SP8 supports the following new application server versions:

• JBoss 5.0 (Open Source) and JBoss 5.1 Enterprise Edition (32-bit and 64-bit versions)
• Oracle WebLogic 11.0 (64-bit version)
• IBM WebSphere 7.0 (32-bit and 64-bit versions)

To use the r12.5 SP8 version of the Identity Manager Server on these application servers, you install it on a new version of the application server. Then, you migrate data from the previous CA Identity Manager installation to the new installation. See the Upgrade Guide for full details on this migration.

CA Identity Manager r12.5 SP8 supports the following 32-bit applications servers for upgrades only:

• Oracle WebLogic 10.3
• IBM WebSphere 6.1

If your current version of CA Identity Manager runs on one of these application servers, you can upgrade to r12.5 SP8 by running the installer. See the Upgrade Guide for full details on the upgrade.
