How to Install the RSA SecurID 7.1 Connector

This process describes how to install the RSA SecurID 7.1 Connector. Before you start this process, verify that you have the password for the Java CS keystore and that you have RSA login credentials.

  1. Install or upgrade the Java CS computer.

Registering the Java CS with the provisioning server creates the RSA 7.1 namespace. The Java CS registration step, which occurs during the Java CS installation, creates the RSA 7.1 namespace and populates it with its associated metadata.

Note: For more information, see the Java Connector Server Implementation Guide.

  2. Copy the required RSA Authentication Manager files to the computer where you installed the Java CS.
    1. Go to the RSA SecurCare Online website at https://knowledge.rsasecurity.com.

Download and extract the contents of the RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 SDK zip file named am-7.1-sp3-sdk.zip

Note: The post-installation utility that you run later in this process uses these files, so take note of where you have put them.

  3. Copy the specific third-party files from the RSA Authentication Manager server to the Java CS computer.

For the RSA SecurID 7.1 Connector to work, it requires files that are automatically installed with the RSA Authentication Manager server.

    1. On the RSA Authentication Manager server, navigate to the RSA_AM_HOME/appserver/ folder.
    2. Copy the following files to the Java CS computer.
      • license.bea
      • .../modules/com.bea.core.process_5.3.0.0.jar
      • .../weblogic/server/lib/EccpressoAsn1.jar
      • .../weblogic/server/lib/EccpressoCore.jar
      • .../weblogic/server/lib/EccpressoJcae.jar
      • ...weblogic/server/lib/wlcipher.jar
      • .../weblogic/server/lib/wlfullclient.jar

Note: You will need to generate the wlfullclient.jar file. For more information, see the RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 Developer's Guide.

Note: The post-installation utility that you run later in this process uses these files, so take note of where you have put them.

  4. Export the Server Root Certificate from the RSA Authentication Manager server and copy it to the Java CS computer.

Note: For more information about exporting the Root Certificate, see the RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 Developer's Guide. The post-installation utility that you run later in this process automatically imports the Server Root Certificate.

  5. Run the RSA SecurID 7.1 Connector post-installation utility.

This is installed as part of the JCS installation.

    1. Navigate to <jcs_home>\Resources\rsa7
    2. Double-click RSA7_post_install.bat.
    3. Follow the prompts.

Note: The installation process prompts you for the location of all the files and certificates you have copied to the target computer and the keystore password.

Note: The post-installation utility that you run later in this process uses these files, so take note of where you have put them.

  6. Restart the Java CS computer.
  7. To acquire and manage the RSA SecurID endpoint, you must get the command client user name and password from the RSA Authentication Manager.

Note: For more information about getting the command client user name and password, see the RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 Developer's Guide, available in the RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 SDK.

The command client credentials let you acquire and manage an RSA 7.1 endpoint.
