32- and 64-bit Applications

The C++ Connector Server is a 32-bit application. If installed on a 64-bit operating system, the C++ Connector Server runs as a 32-bit application.

Some connectors, for example Oracle Applications, DB2 and others, require third party clients to be present on the C++ Connector Server host. For example, Oracle Client, DB2 Connect and so forth. Some of these third party applications come in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes. Only the 32-bit client should be installed if you want to manage endpoints on the C++ Connector Server.

The Java Connector Server is a 32-bit application. some connectors, for example, SAP, Lotus Notes/Domino and others, require third party libraries to be present on the Java Connector Server host. Only the 32-bit library should be installed if you want to manage endpoints on the Java Connector Sever.
