64-Bit Application Server Support

CA Identity Manager r12.5 SP7 supports the following new application server versions:

• JBoss 5.0 (Open Source) and JBoss 5.1 Enterprise Edition
• Oracle WebLogic 11.0
• IBM WebSphere 7.0

These application servers support only 64-bit formats.

To use the r12.5 SP7 version of the Identity Manager Server on these application servers, you install it on a new application server version. Then, you migrate data from the previous CA Identity Manager installation to the new installation. Since application server upgrades are not supported from 32-bit to 64-bit formats, the Identity Manager installer does not complete this upgrade automatically.

Note: CA Identity Manager r12.5 SP7 supports the following 32-bit applications servers for upgrades only:

• Oracle WebLogic 10.3
• IBM WebSphere 6.1

If your current version of CA Identity Manager runs on one of these application servers, you can upgrade to r12.5 SP7 by running the installer. In these cases, CA Identity Manager continues to run on the 32-bit application server.
