Overall Installation Process
To install CA Identity Manager, perform the following steps:
- Install the prerequisite hardware and software and configure your system as required.
- Install the CA Identity Manager components on one system or several systems or install the Identity Manager Server on an application server cluster.
- (Optional) Install alternate Provisioning Directories, alternate Provisioning Servers, and connector servers.
- (Optional) Install optional provisioning components.
- (Optional) Protect CA Identity Manager with SiteMinder.
- (Optional) Install the report server.
Note: In this document, each chapter includes a checklist of the steps to install or configure a CA Identity Manager feature or component. It is the section that begins with a How To title in each chapter. The appendix Installation Checklists includes all checklists. Print this appendix before you begin the installation.
