PeopleSoft Requirements

The following are required to run the PeopleSoft Connector:

• PeopleSoft HRMS 8.9
• PeopleTools 8.48 or 8.49 if the appropriate PeopleSoft API version (psjoa.jar) is used.
• PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, Tuxedo, and Jolt configured on the PeopleSoft application server

The PPS connector communicates with the PeopleSoft application using the configured Tuxedo port (9000 by default). We recommend that Tuxedo-level encryption be enabled on the application server since passwords are included in the communications. The encryption level is controlled by the Encryption property in the JOLT Listener section of the psappsrv.cfg file for the PeopleSoft application server domain. There are three values that can be set:

• 0 (default) for no encryption
• 64 for 64-bit encryption
• 128 for 128-bit encryption
