Step 3. Add Encryption Keys to the Server ID

For Lotus Notes Client 6.5 or higher

To add the encryption keys to the server ID, perform the following steps on the Domino Server for Domino 6 or higher:

  1. From the File menu, select Security, User Security.
  2. Enter the ID password
  3. Expand the Notes Data section and select Documents
  4. Click New Secret Key
  5. Enter RegXArchive as the name of the key.
  6. Select Use international encryption if the key is to be used outside North America (U.S. and Canada) on versions of Notes prior to 5.0.4.
  7. (Optional) Enter a comment that explains the key's use.
  8. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to create the RegXCertifier key.
  9. Click OK

    The User Dialog appears.

  10. Click Done.

Note: To import existing encryption keys into the server ID, complete Steps 1, 2, and 3 and then click the Other Actions button and choose Import Secret Key. After you have found the respective files containing the keys to import, click open and specify the password if no password has been associated with the key.
