1. Be sure your systems meet all upgrade prerequisites.

2. Collect information required for the upgrade.

3. Run the Upgrade Wizard, which upgrades the following components:

• Provisioning Directory (including CA Directory)
• Provisioning Server (includes the C++ Connector Server)
• Java Connector Server
• Provisioning Manager
• Identity Manager Server

4. Upgrade other provisioning components.

5. Recompile custom code.

6. Upgrade the Report Server.

7. (Optional) Upgrade SiteMinder.
