When CA Identity Manager integrates with SiteMinder, the following components are added to the CA Identity Manager architecture:
Allows communication between the Identity Manager Server and the SiteMinder Policy Server. Installed on the system with the Identity Manager Server.
Provides advanced authentication and authorization for CA Identity Manager, as well as other facilities such as Password Services, Single Sign-On, and so forth.
The following figure is an example of a CA Identity Manager installation with a SiteMinder Policy Server and Web Agent:
