Register as a New User

Perform the following procedure to register as a new user.

To register as a new user

1. Type the following URL in a browser:

   http://hostname/idm/neteautopublic/imcss/index.jsp?task.tag=SelfRegistration
   

   • hostname

     Defines the fully qualified domain name of the system where CA Identity Manager is running.

   Note: If you did not configure the Neteauto skin, you can omit imcss from the URL as follows:

   http://hostname/idm/neteautopublic/index.jsp?task.tag=SelfRegistration

   This URL directs you to the default ca console.

   At the Self-Registration: End User License Agreement page, CA Identity Manager displays the CA website.

   Note: You can configure the default Self-Registration task to display your company's End User License Agreement. For instructions, see the Administration Guide.

2. Click Accept to proceed.
3. In the Profile tab, do the following:
   1. Type values for the required fields, indicated by an asterisk (*).
   2. Type password hints and answers.

      In case of a forgotten password, CA Identity Manager provides the password hint and requests the answer. If the answer is correct, CA Identity Manager prompts the user to specify and confirm a new password.

4. Leave the Groups tab unchanged.
5. Click Submit.
