Sample Mappings for DefaultMappings.XML

The following table lists sample values for the DefaultMappings.xml file. In this table, the columns represent the following:

• Host Attribute

  Specifies the attribute name in CA RCM.

  CA RCM supports 11 user (host) attributes. The following 4 attributes are mandatory and must exist in the DefaultMappings.xml file:

  PersonID

  Login

  User Name

  OrgType

  These attributes are defined in Key elements as follows:

  < Key1 host='PersonID'  guest='NAME' />
  

  Note: Do not change the default mappings (shown in the following table) for the PersonID, Login, and User Name host attributes. You can change the mapping for OrgType to another guest attribute, if needed.

  You can specify an additional 7 host attributes. The default host attributes are displayed in the table. You can map those attributes to other guest attributes, or use other host attribute names, as defined in CA RCM.

  Optional host attributes are defined in Field elements as follows:

• Guest Attribute

  Specifies the attribute name in accounts in managed endpoints.

  When CA RCM integrates with CA Identity Manager, the guest attribute is the attribute used by Java Identity and Access Management (JIAM), an internal component that CA RCM uses to communicate with the Provisioning Server.

  JIAM attributes are mapped to physical attributes for global users in the Provisioning Directory.

• Physical Attribute Name

  The name of the attributes for the global user.

  Only the Host Attribute and Guest Attribute values are used in the DefaultMappings.xml file. The Physical Attribute Name column in the following table is provided for reference only.

Note: In the following table, if the host attributes row is blank, there is no default attribute in CA RCM that corresponds to the guest attribute. You can specify a different host attribute if one is defined in CA RCM, or you can map one of the default host attributes to a different guest attribute.
