Configure Task Settings

In the task configuration settings, you specify the following:

• The type of validation checking the task supports (compliance and pattern messages)
• The level of the messages (errors, warnings, and alerts)
• The minimum severity score required for CA Identity Manager to display the message

To configure a task to support compliance and pattern messages

1. Log into CA Identity Manager as an administrator who can modify admin tasks.
2. Select Roles and Tasks, Admin Tasks, Modify Admin Task.

   CA Identity Manager opens a screen where you can search for an admin task to modify.

3. Search for and select the task that you want to modify.
4. Click the Tabs tab.
5. Click the Edit icon next to the tab controller selection field.

   CA Identity Manager opens the Configure Tab Controller screen.

6. Complete the following fields as needed:
   • Out Of Compliance Analytics Level

     Determines the level of information from the CA RCM compliance analysis that CA Identity Manager displays.

     You can set the following levels:

     • No Analytics
     • Issue Info Messages
     • Issue Warning Messages
     • Issue Error Messages
   • Out Of Compliance Severity Cutoff

     Indicates the minimum severity score of compliance messages to display. For example, if you specify 75, CA Identity Manager only displays compliance messages that have a severity score of 75 or above.

     This setting limits the number of compliance messages that appear for the task.

     If Issue Error Messages is selected, this setting also affects which tasks can be submitted. For example, if you set the cutoff to skip errors with low scores, users can submit tasks that contain errors.

   • Out Of Pattern Analytics Level

     Determines the level of information from the CA RCM pattern analysis that CA Identity Manager displays.

     This field includes the same levels as the Out Of Compliance Analytics Level field.

   • Out Of Pattern Severity Cutoff

     Indicates the minimum severity score of pattern messages to display. For example, if you specify 75, CA Identity Manager only displays pattern messages that have a severity score of 75 or above.

     This setting limits the number of pattern messages that appear for the task.

   • Force analytics on submit

     When selected, enables automatic validation checking. When a user submits the task, CA Identity Manager performs compliance and pattern checks. Users do not have to manually click the Check Compliance button to see compliance and pattern messages.

7. Click OK to return to the Tabs tab, then click Submit to save the task.
