Install the CA Enterprise Log Manager Agent
The CA Enterprise Log Manager agent is responsible for collecting events and dispatching that information to the CA Enterprise Log Manager Server. Install the agent on a CA Identity Manager database server or endpoint machine to enable logging.
Note: The CA Enterprise Log Manager Agent is supported on Windows and Linux.
Follow these steps:
- On the database server, run the ca-elmagent-<version>.exe installation and specify the following information:
- Server name or IP address
- Authentication code
- Agent server account information (used to run the agent as a service/demon)
- Specify default connectors list file, if available.
- Log in to the CA Enterprise Log Manager Server with the following URL:
https://host :5250/spin/calm/CALMSpindle.csp
- Navigate to Administration, Log Collection, Agent Explorer, Default Agent Group.
- Select the agent machine and launch Status and Command view.
