Verify the Upgraded Cluster

When you have completed all the upgrade steps on the application server cluster, check that the upgrade was successful.

Important! If you are upgrading from CA Identity Manager r8.1 sp2, be sure to follow the post-upgrade configuration steps before verifying the clustered upgrade.

To verify the clustered upgrade

1. Start the Management Console as follows:

   http://host_name:port/idmmanage
   

   • host_name

     Defines the fully-qualified host name for the server where Identity Manager is installed

   • port

     Defines the application server port.

2. If you migrated an Identity Manager environment, access the environment as follows:
   1. Enter the URL for the Identity Manager environment.
   2. Verify that you are prompted for the appropriate credentials.
   3. Log in using the account with the System Manager role.
   4. Verify the correct roles are assigned to this account.
3. If these steps succeeded, start any extra Policy Servers and CA Identity Manager nodes that you stopped.

   Note: If you still need to make changes to an Identity Manager environment, skip this step until you are done.
