Installation Guide

This updated guide describes how to acquire, install, deploy, and configure CA File Master Plus using CA Mainframe Software Manager (CA MSM).

The Installation Guide has been restructured and describes three ways of installing CA File Master Plus, using:

• CA MSM — CA MSM simplifies and unifies the management of CA mainframe products on z/OS systems. As CA's z/OS products adopt the services provided by CA MSM, you can acquire, install, and maintain them in a common way. These services enable you to manage your software easily based on industry accepted best practices such as SMP/E, FTP, USS and Java.
• Pax-Enhanced ESD (Electronic Software Delivery) — Enables you to download and install CA's mainframe software and maintenance electronically to your own disk.
• Tape — Explains how to download from tape using SMP/E and sample JCL.
