Federation Manager Troubleshooting Using Trace Logging

You can troubleshoot Federation Manager operation by enabling trace logs. Trace logs contain general runtime activities and informational statements.

Two types of trace logs are available:

Note: Tracing can result in large log files.

When default path values are used, you can find the log files in the federation_mgr_home\logs directory under the server and FWS directories.

By default, Federation Manager enables the server-side log (federation_mgr_home\ logs\server\.smps.log) and the UI log (federation_mgr_home\logs\ui\server.log) for basic informational logging.
