How To Restore a Single System to a Previous Configuration

The process for reverting back to a previous configuration on a single system is as follows:

1. Back up the existing Federation Manager configuration for the system that you may want to restore.
2. Run the Configuration wizard on this system using the same settings that were in place when you created the backup configuration.

   It is critical that when you run the Configuration wizard on the system, the settings remain the same.

   The settings that must match include:

   • Port numbers

     When running the Configuration wizard, specify the same ports that were used when the system was backed up

   • Virtual Host Name

     If the system used a virtual host when initially configured, you need to use the same virtual host name. Additionally, you need to make the appropriate entries in the host file for the system.

3. Import the backed-up configuration to the system.
