The process for replicating a configuration from one system to another is as follows:
To back up the configuration, you deactivate partnerships and disable SSL. After you complete the back up, you revert these changes.
It is critical that when you install Federation Manager and run the Configuration wizard on the new system, you use the exact same settings for the new system that were used for the original system.
The settings that must match include:
Choose the same deployment mode (proxy or standalone) for the new system.
If the SiteMinder is enabled on the original system, it must be enabled for the new system.
When running the Configuration wizard, specify the same ports for the new system that were used by the original system.
If the original system used a virtual host, you need to use the same virtual host name on the new system. Additionally, you will need to make the appropriate entries in the host file for the new system.
