Methods to Create an Entity

Each partner in a federation partnership is considered a federation entity. Before you can establish a partnership, you have to define a local entity that represents the local partner and a remote entity that represents the remote partner.

There are two ways to configure a federation entity:

• Create an entity without using metadata.
• Create an entity by importing metadata.
