Test a User Directory Connection

You can test the connection to a user directory through the Federation Manager UI.

To test a user directory connection

1. Click the User Directory tab.

   The View User Directories tab list is displayed.

2. Select Test Connection from the Actions drop-down menu next to an entry in the list that you want to test.

The connection is verified by a message at the top of the dialog, or in the case of failure, an error message is displayed.

Note: You can also test the connection by clicking Test Connection in the Connection Credentials group box of the Create or Edit User Directory dialog.
