Abnormal Termination Under Heavy Load Using the Windows Agent (Kerberos) on Solaris (138079)

Symptom:

When Federation Manager is under heavy load, an abnormal termination can occur when the deployment uses the Federation Manager Windows Agent (Kerberos) on Solaris.

Solution:

To improve performance under load and lessen the chances of the abnormal termination, certain connection parameters have been modified. After you upgrade to the new release, run the configuration wizard, which will automatically update your connection details.

If the SiteMinder Connector is in use, update the following settings in the HostConfig object used by the connector on the remote SiteMinder system:

• MinSocketsPerPort=MaxSocketsPerPort

  In the HostConfig object, the MaxSocketsPerPort and the MinSocketsPerPort values must match.

  The default value for MinSocketsPerPort is 20.

• NewSocketStep=1

Use the SiteMinder Administrative UI to modify the HostConfig object.
