Deployment Modes and FIPS Settings

The first group of settings in the Deployment Settings dialog shows the status of the deployment mode and FIPS mode that you selected when installing and configuring Federation Manager. Additionally, you can specify the valid federation domains and set a prefix to protect HTTP headers in proxy mode.

You can only modify the Valid Federation Domains and HTTP Header Prefix entries in the Deployment Settings section of the dialog. You cannot change the FIPS Mode and Deployment Mode Change settings in the UI. Change these settings using the following methods:

Important! Anytime you change the FIPS mode, restart Federation Manager.

To modify the deployment settings that you can change through the UI

  1. (Optional) Enter values for the Valid Federation Domains field.
  2. (Optional) Enter a value for the HTTP Header Prefix field.
  3. Click Save in the right corner of the section.
