Online Method
Identifying and acquiring new product content and updated code is difficult without an automatic update capability.
An Administrator configures CA Enterprise Log Manager to update itself through a direct Internet connection using the Subscription Service. Even though CA Enterprise Log Manager is on a protected network, it updates properly through a single firewall port.

Offline Method
Identifying and acquiring new product content and updated code is difficult without an automatic update capability.
Your organization is on an ‘air-gap’ network that is physically separated from the Internet.
Your Administrator can configure a server on the Internet-attached network to download product content and code updates. After the download, the Administrator can burn the downloaded files to CD, walk this CD across the 'air-gap,' and install the CD in the CA Enterprise Log Manager soft appliance. CA Enterprise Log Manager recognizes and applies the updates immediately.
