Create the Response File

A response file is created during a standard installation. When the CA EEM Server installer requires input, it uses the information from the response file. Copy and configure the response file for each build of CA EEM that you want to install.

To copy and configure a response file

  1. Run the CA EEM Server installer wizard on the target computer.
  2. Navigate to EEMServer_home\CA\SC\EmbeddedEntitlementManager.
    EEMServer_home

    Specifies the EEM Server installation folder.

  3. Copy the response.Properties file and place in the destination server.
  4. Open the response file and edit the values for the install parameters.

    You have copied and configured the response file with the required values.
