Symptom:
Deployment of connectors from the Bulk Connector Deployment wizard providing the Server address in IPV6 format is not working as expected. After some time, the connector status displays as Running. When you edit the connector, you can see that the Server name displays only the first four digits in the IPV6 address. The user name, password, and domain fields display blanks.
Solution:
The CA Enterprise Log Manager user interface currently sends the source file contents using :: as the delimiter that separates every source. Since the IPv6 address contains the double-colon characters ::, it is processed as a delimiter. The connector record is not saved properly.
Do not use IPv6 addresses to perform bulk connector deployment. You can use hostnames to configure connectors for bulk deployment. You can also configure an IPv6 connector from the New Connector Creation wizard using the normal instructions.
