A module is a logical grouping of component updates that is made available for download through subscription. A module can contain binary updates, content updates, or both. For example, all reports make up one module; all sponsor binary updates make up another module. CA defines what makes up each module.
During subscription configuration, you select the modules you want to download from the available modules to download as a global setting. For any online subscription proxy, you can use the global setting or override it and select the modules that you want to make available to clients that request them. For any client, you can use the global setting or override it and select the modules that you want the client to download and install. Modules available for download vary with the update cycle, so monitor the available list to be sure that all modules you need are selected. Available modules for a given update or upgrade cycle can include any combination of the following: OperatingSystem, LogManager, Reports, Agents, and Integrations.
You can safely select all components listed as available modules to download for all CA Enterprise Log Manager servers. The following table describes each module and its destination.
