Working with Offline Updates

Offline updates let you:

To upgrade to the latest release or service pack offline, do the following:

  1. Go to the FTP site and open the folder for the current release.
  2. Download and extract the core tar file, subscription_12_x_x_x.tar.
  3. Stop iGateway.
  4. Apply the offline update.
  5. Start iGateway.

To get the latest content updates or hotfixes after upgrading to the latest release or service pack, do the following:

  1. Go to the FTP site and open the folder for the current release.
  2. Download and extract the supplementary tar file, subscription_monthly_update_M<n>.tar.
  3. Stop iGateway.
  4. Apply the offline update.
  5. Start iGateway.

To upgrade to the latest release or service pack with available content updates, do the following:

  1. Go to the FTP site and open the folder for the current release.
  2. Download and extract the core tar file, subscription_12_x_x_x.tar.
  3. Download and extract the supplementary tar file, subscription_monthly_update_M<n>.tar.
  4. Stop iGateway.
  5. Apply the offline update.
  6. Start iGateway.

To install a previous release of CA Enterprise Log Manager offline, do the following:

  1. Go to the FTP site and open a folder from a previous release.
  2. Download and extract the core tar file, subscription_12_x_x_x.tar.
  3. Stop iGateway.
  4. Apply the offline update.
  5. Start iGateway.
