Symptom:
Performance of the default agent decreases when you specify too many of the default syslog integrations for a connector. In this case, performance refers to number of events per second (eps) handled.
Solution:
For each integration, CA Enterprise Log Manager loads message parsing (XMP) and data mapping (DM) files. During operations, CA Enterprise Log Manager checks incoming events against the lists of regular expressions. A larger number of files means more processing time.
Avoid slower performance by removing unneeded integrations when creating a syslog connector. After installation, review the integrations configured for the default syslog connector and remove any that you do not need.
