Publish a Model to a Web Portal

You can now publish your models to a web portal using the Web Portal, Publish menu option. When you publish a model to a web portal, many users can view models, manage the metadata, and trace the lineage of models. To view models in a web portal, users do not need to install CA ERwin DM.

Prerequisites

Install the CA ERwin Web Portal. For more information about installing the web portal, see the Meta Integration documentation.

To publish a model to a web portal

1. Click Start, All Programs, Meta Integration, Server Restart.

   The CA ERwin Web Portal service starts.

2. Click File, Web Portal, Publish.

   The Export to External Format dialog opens and displays the Destination page. CA ERwin Web Portal is selected for the Type field and the field is disabled.

3. Enter the password for the web portal in the User password field.
4. Click Finish.

   CA ERwin Web Portal opens in a new window and displays the export log.

5. Select the folder with the name of the model on the left pane.

   The model appears as read-only in a new tab.
