Use the following options and tabs in the Oracle Database Link Editor to add or edit Oracle database links and database link properties. You open this editor by selecting Target - Oracle, Database Link on the Model menu.
Positions the editor on the previous database link in the Navigation Grid.
Positions the editor on the next database link in the Navigation Grid.
Sorts the database links by alphabetic or reverse alphabetic order. You select the method you want using the drop-down menu that opens after you click the Sort button. Visual cues are provided for how the database link list is currently sorted:
Specifies that the list is sorted in alphabetic order.
Specifies that the list is sorted in reverse alphabetic order.
Creates a new database link that becomes the current object in the editor.
Deletes the selected database link.
Opens the DB Sync wizard so you can perform a database level compare of objects in the current model with matching objects in another model.
Opens online help for the editor.
Lets you filter a very large list of database links in the Navigation Grid to quickly locate the database link for which you need to view or define properties.
Specifies the name of the database link. You can change the name of the database link in this field.
Generates SQL during forward engineering. Clear the check box if you do not want to generate SQL.
Assign the connection type to a database link.
Lets you enter any comments that you want to associate with the database link.
Lets you enter user-defined property values for a database link.
View database link history information and view or edit user notes.
