Define an ODBC Data Source
To access your target ODBC database you must first define an ODBC database source. Follow these steps to define an ODBC data source:
- Open the Windows Control Panel, and select Administrative Tools.
- Select Data Sources to open the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog.
- Click the User DSN tab to display the current list of user data sources.
- Click Add to search for the driver and include it in the list if the driver for your database is not shown; otherwise, select your DBMS name and then click Configure. For assistance with defining the ODBC data source information for your target database, click Help.
