You define an auxiliary table to store LOB data type. You can define a DB2 z/OS auxiliary table on the Auxiliary tab of the Column editor.
To define a DB2 z/OS auxiliary table
The DB2 z/OS Table Column Editor opens.
Note: You can use the Auxiliary tab only if LOB is selected in the Physical Data Type column.
The DB2 for z/OS Column Auxiliary Table Editor dialog opens.
Specifies the name of the auxiliary table.
Specifies the schema to associate with the auxiliary table. Select a schema from the drop-down list.
Specifies the database for the auxiliary table. Select a database from the drop-down list.
Specifies the tablespace for the auxiliary table. Select a tablespace from the drop-down list.
Specifies partition elements to associate with the auxiliary table. Select a partition element from the drop-down list.
Specifies whether or not the appending process is used for the table.
Specifies the description of the table.
Generates DDL for this object during Forward Engineering.
The Auxiliary Table Editor closes.
