Define DB2 z/OS Users

You use the DB2 for z/OS User Id Editor to define database users and their respective properties in a DB2 physical model.

To define DB2 for z/OS users

  1. Right-click a User Id in the Model Explorer and select Properties.

    The DB2 for z/OS User Id Editor opens.

  2. Select a User Id and work with the following options:

    Note: Click New New icon in property editors to create a new object on the toolbar to create a User Id. Use the Enter filter text text box to filter a large list of names to locate the one you want to work with.

    Name

    Specifies the name of the user id.

  3. (Optional) Click the Comment tab and enter any comments you want associated with the user ID.
  4. (Optional) Click the Where Used tab to view where the user ID is used in the model.
  5. (Optional) Click the UDP tab to work with user-defined properties for the user ID.
  6. (Optional) Click the Notes tab to view history information and view or edit user notes.
  7. Click Close.

    The DB2 for z/OS User Id Editor closes.
