Add an Attribute on the Diagram Window

You can add an attribute directly on the diagram window.

To add an attribute on the diagram window

  1. Click ERwin Toolbar Select Tool and select the attribute name directly above where you want to place the new attribute, and click the attribute again.

    The Edit box opens.

  2. Press Enter.

    An edit box is inserted below the selected attribute.

  3. Enter the name of the new attribute in the edit box and press Shift+Enter to save your changes, or press Enter to add another attribute to the entity.

    If the original attribute that you select is above the line in the entity box, the new attribute is added as a primary key attribute. Similarly, if you select an attribute below the line, the new attribute is added as a non-key attribute.
