CA ERwin Data Modeler r8.1 will be installed in new folders on your hard drive, however, both r7.x (CA ERwin Model Manager) and r8.1 can exist on the same machine.
Note: You must be at r7.x or later in order to convert existing models to r8.1. Additionally, before you can use the Submodel Manager to work with models in the mart, you must first upgrade each r7.x model to r8.1.
