Preserve Diagram Layout Enhancements

Preserve diagram layout enhancements include:

Preserve Layout During Copy and Paste

The ability to copy and paste diagram objects from one diagram to another diagram while preserving diagram layout was implemented for this release.

The layout of copied related objects, such as entities with relationships, and pasting into another diagram, whether in the same model or a different model, preserves its layout from the diagram from which it was copied.

When you paste objects into a model, it scrolls to the pasted objects automatically.

Preserve Layout When Using the Include All Objects Contained in Another Diagram Option

When you include objects to a diagram using the Include All Objects Contained in Another Diagram option, the new objects appear in the same position as in the original diagram. If the diagram had objects before you used this option, some of the new objects can overlap with the existing ones.

Preserve Location of Unselected Objects During Diagram Layout

Previously, changing the layout of a few objects in a large diagram moved the selected and unselected objects to fit the new layout. Now you can use the Layout in Place option to retain the unselected objects in their locations, while rearranging the selected objects.
