Set General Options

Use the General tab in the Options dialog to set global defaults for general features for all modeling sessions.

To set general options

1. Click Options on the Tools menu.

   The Options dialog opens.

2. Specify the following options on the General tab and click OK:
   • Reset all messages

     Enables you to view popup dialog messages during the modeling session if you previously selected the Don't show this again option on any popup dialogs.

   • Default model location

     Lets you specify the default location when you save models.

   • Transaction log location

     Lets you specify the default location that this product uses to temporarily store transaction log binary files. Note: Transaction log files can be useful for CA Technical Support to help resolve issues.

   • Generate on model close

     Lets you specify whether or not to have an activity summary report generated each time you close a model, and the default location for the reports. Transaction log data is written to a .csv file.

     Note: Activity Summary files will accumulate in your computer's memory, so it is a good idea to periodically remove the older Activity Summary files that you no longer need.

   General options are set and the Options dialog closes.
