Save a New Model to the Mart

When you save a new model to the mart, you must locate the library in which you want to save the model, and then give the model a name. It is important to create a name for your model, which is used to identify the model. You can save CA ERwin Process Modeler models and CA ERwin Data Modeler models to the same library. However, CA ERwin Data Modeler models can be seen only in the library when you are connected to the mart from CA ERwin Data Modeler. Similarly, CA ERwin Process Modeler models can be seen only when you are connected to the mart from CA ERwin Process Modeler.

Note: A model name must be less than 130 characters. Because the version name is derived from the model name (e.g. <ModelName>:<version number> by <UserName> on <VersionCreateDate>), you should use model names considerably less than 130 characters in length to avoid problems with saving a model version.

To save a new model to the mart

  1. Click Save on the Services menu.

The Save ERwin Model Manager Model As dialog opens.

  2. Select the library that you want to save the model in from the list. Enter a name for the model in the Model text box and click OK.

    The model is saved.
