Save a Model as a Version 4.1.4 ER1 File

This product is backward compatible, which means you can open a model created in the previous version (4.1.4 only), but you cannot open a model created in r7 in Version 4.1.4.

If you are sharing models created in r7 with Version 4.1.4 users, you can save an r7 model in Version 4.1.4 format.

To save a model in r7 as a 4.1.4 (ER1) file

1. Select Save As from the File menu.

   The Save As dialog opens.

2. Enter the file name and select *.er1 from the Save as type list and then click Save.

   The model is saved as a version 4.1.4 file

Note: When you save an r7 model in 4.1.4 (*.ER1) format, you are exporting the model to a new file. The r7 model open in the workspace is not changed. If you modify the open model you must subsequently save the changes to the r7 (*.erwin) version of the file, or to the 4.1.4 (*.ER1) version of the file.
