Draw a Polygon

Drawing objects enhance the appearance of your model and add meaningful graphic or text annotations. You can add a polygon such as a triangle to your drawing.

To draw a filled polygon such as a triangle using the Polygon button

  1. Click Polygon on the Drawing Objects toolbar.
  2. Click the diagram window where you want to start the polygon to draw the first segment of the polygon.
  3. Drag the mouse to where you want that segment of the polygon to end, and click once again.
  4. Continue adding as many line segments as you want; as you drag the mouse, an outline of the shape displays.
  5. Double-click when you finish the final line segment.

You can add consecutive multiple polygons by pressing the CTRL key before you click Polygon on the Drawing Objects toolbar. After you follow the steps above, when you click again in the diagram window, another polygon is created.

Note: You can define default settings for drawing objects including color and font settings in the Default Fonts & Colors editor.
