Use the Attributes tab in the Default Fonts & Colors dialog to define the default font and color for attributes on the diagram window.
To define the default font and color for attributes
The Default Fonts & Colors dialog opens.
Displays the default font setting for owned attributes. Select a different default font from the list provided.
Displays the default font size for owned attributes. Select a different default font size from the list provided.
Applies bold face to the font type for all owned attributes on the diagram window.
Applies italics to the font type for all owned attributes on the diagram window.
Underlines owned attributes. Clear this check box to remove the underline.
Applies a strikethrough effect, such as this, to owned attributes. Clear this check box to remove the strikethrough effect.
Displays the default color for owned attributes. Select a different default color from the list provided.
Displays the default font setting for foreign key attributes. Select a different default font from the list provided. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Font from PK or Inherit Font From Relation check boxes.
Displays the default font size for foreign key attributes. Select a different default font size from the list provided. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Font from PK or Inherit Font From Relation check boxes.
Applies bold face to the font type for all foreign key attributes on the diagram window. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Font from PK or Inherit Font From Relation check boxes.
Applies italics to the font type for all foreign key attributes on the diagram window. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Font from PK or Inherit Font From Relation check boxes.
Underlines foreign key attributes. Clear this check box to remove the underline. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Font from PK or Inherit Font From Relation check boxes.
Applies a strikethrough effect, such as this, to foreign key attributes. Clear this check box to remove the strikethrough effect. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Font from PK or Inherit Font From Relation check boxes.
Inherits the foreign key font type from the primary key.
Inherits the foreign key font type from the relation.
Displays the default color for foreign key attributes. Select a different default color from the list provided. This option is not available if you select the Inherit Color From PK or Inherit Color From Relation check boxes.
Inherits the foreign key color from the primary key.
Inherits the foreign key color from the relation.
Choose one of the following options and click OK:
The dialog closes and the defaults are saved.
Note: The Foreign Key group box includes the Inherit Font From PK and Inherit Font From Relation options, which mean that all font, font style, size, and font effects information is inherited from either the primary key or from the relation. When you select one of these check boxes, the Font Style, Size, Bold, Italic, Underline, and Strikeout options are not available.
The Foreign Key group box also includes the Inherit Color from PK and Inherit Color from Relation options, which mean that the foreign key color is inherited from either the primary key or the relation. When you select either of these check boxes, the Color option is not available.
