Create a Subject Area
You use the Subject Areas editor to create subject areas in the current model.
To create a subject area
- Click Subject Areas on the Model menu.
The Subject Areas editor opens.
- Select a subject area from the Subject Area list if you want to include members of that Subject Area when you create the new subject area, then click the New button.
The New Subject Area dialog opens.
- Enter a name for the new subject area, select the Copy Members from <Subject Area Name> check box to include all the entities, tables, or views that are members of the currently selected subject area in the new subject area, then click OK.
The subject area is added and the New Subject Area dialog closes.
- Click OK.
The subject area is saved and the Subject Areas editor closes.
